The Headwaters Equine Leadership Group Celebrates Excellence in the Equine Industry

The Headwaters Equine Leadership Group will be celebrating excellence in the equine industry at our Headwaters Horse Country Excellence awards gala on Wednesday, May 11th at the Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn & Suites.

The evening honours four equine industry leaders who exemplify excellence and who, through their work and vision, have helped the Headwaters region become a centre of equine excellence in the Province of Ontario.

We are honoured to recognize the following Headwaters industry leaders and look forward to celebrating their commitment to the equine industry on May 11th:

LEADERSHIP IN INDUSTRY BUILDING Sponsored by Dutch Masters

The Leadership in Industry Building award will be presented to Charles Armstrong in recognition of his significant contributions demonstrating outstanding leadership, dedication and life-long service aiming to grow the equine industry in Headwaters and beyond.

When asked about the award, Gary van Bolderen, founder of Dutch Masters said, “Charlie is so deserving of this award. He is a pioneer and mentor across numerous equestrian communities.”

LEADERSHIP IN PROMOTING THE EQUINE SPORT

The Leadership in Promoting the Equine Sport award will be presented to Susan Grange in recognition of her long-term service and dedication to the ongoing growth and development of the equine sport and industry in Headwaters.

“Sue’s outstanding visionary achievements and sustained contributions have made a profound impact on the equine industry,” said HELG Chair, Ross Millar.

LEADERSHIP FOR THE FUTURE Sponsored by Linda Pabst & Gryphon Farm

The Leadership for the Future award will be presented to Beth Underhill in recognition of her passion for the equine industry and her commitment to developing meaningful partnerships between youth and the industry.

“Beth is a Canadian show jumping icon who is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of equestrians,” said HELG Chair, Ross Millar.

LEADERSHIP IN EQUINE BUSINESS

The Leadership in Equine Business award will be presented to Ross Millar in recognition of his commitment to and impact on the growth and development of the equine industry in Headwaters.

“Ross exemplifies leadership in the equine industry in Headwaters. He is a champion for the equine sector and a driving force behind Headwaters Horse Country,” said founder of Dutch Masters and HELG Award Committee Chair, Gary van Bolderen.

We look forward to welcoming visitors, residents and our equine industry stakeholders to our Headwaters Horse Country Excellence awards gala on Wednesday, May 11th at 6:00 pm at the Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn & Suites, where we will celebrate the best of Headwaters Horse Country.

During the Headwaters Horse Country Excellence awards celebration guests will enjoy an intimate evening of local food & drink, specially prepared by the award-winning culinary team at Gourmandissimo.
