Biography

Beth Underhill is a veteran of the Canadian Equestrian Show Jumping Team, having represented Canada in the Olympics, World Championships, Pan American Games, and 30 Nations Cups. A three-time Canadian Champion, she claimed these titles aboard her renowned mounts Monopoly and Altair at The Royal Winter Fair.

Throughout her career, Beth has been privileged to develop and compete with exceptional horses, including Monopoly, Altair, Count Me In, Nikka vd Bisschop, My Clementine, Dynastie de Beaufour, and Dieu Merci van T&L. These partnerships have led to numerous Grand Prix victories, Nations Cup wins, and championship performances on the world stage.

A dedicated advocate for young riders, Beth played a key role in developing Canada's Under 25 Youth Program and has served as Chef d'Équipe for multiple Gold Medal- winning Young Riders Teams. She was also elected by her peers as the Grand Prix rider representative on the Jump Canada Board for a decade and served on the FEI Competitions Approval Committee, representing Canada on the international stage.

Her contributions to the sport have earned her a place in the Jump Canada Hall of Fame and the 2016 Headwaters Leadership of the Year Award. She is also a Board Member of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and has been a colour commentator for CBC Sports, including coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games.

Beth joined Coolmore Showjumping in County Tipperary, Ireland in 2024, as a head coach.

She is collaborating closely with Cian O'Connor's Karlswood team, and continues to impart her extensive knowledge and experience, developing horses and mentoring riders.
